Anthony hadn't done well against Alpine recently (they were 0-3 in their previous three matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. Anthony came out on top against Alpine by a score of 5-2. For the Wildcats, this counts as revenge for the 9-0 victory the Bucks walked away with the last time they faced one another back in April of 2022.

Anthony's win bumped their record up to 4-11-1. As for Alpine, they moved to 10-5 with that defeat, which also ended their six-game winning streak.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Anthony will face off against rival Tornillo at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Alpine is set to take on their familiar foe Presidio at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
