Football Game Preview: Pittsburg Pirates vs. Spring Hill Panthers

The Pittsburg Pirates will challenge the Spring Hill Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Pittsburg came into their game on Friday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They took a blow against Pleasant Grove, falling 51-14. The contest marked the Pirates' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Although Pittsburg took the loss, they still got scores from Ke'Von Grant and Seven Duffey.

Meanwhile, Spring Hill had to suffer through a 55-28 loss at the hands of Gilmer. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 729th, while the Buckeyes are ranked 347th).

Pittsburg's loss dropped their record down to 6-3. As for Spring Hill, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-7.

Pittsburg was taken down by Spring Hill 45-7 when the teams last played back in November of 2024. That matchup was all but decided by halftime, at which point the Pirates were down 28-7.
