Folsom gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Long Beach Poly Jackrabbits 63-20 at home. The victory was familiar territory for the Bulldogs who have now won 11 matches in a row dating back to last season.

Folsom got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Ryder Lyons out in front who threw for 181 yards and two touchdowns, and also rushed for 73 yards and a touchdown on only ten carries. Carter Jackson was another key back, rushing for 123 yards and two touchdowns on only 13 carries.

Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Folsom was moving up and down the field and finished the game with 476 total yards. That's the most total yards they've posted since back in October of 2023.

Folsom wouldn't let Long Beach Poly keep a hold of the ball as they managed to force two fumbles. Folsom can thank Dylan Wolfe and Theo Greule for forcing both of them. Greule also put in work on the defensive side of the ball, picking up two sacks, forcing a fumble, and making six total tackles (2.0 for loss).

Folsom will square off against Junipero Serra at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Long Beach Poly, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Lincoln at 7:00 p.m.
