Football Game Preview: Colonial Beach vs. West Point

On Friday West Point take on Colonial Beach at 7:00 PM. West Point are coming into the match hot, having won three in a row.

It was all tied up at the half for West Point and Rappahannock last Monday, but West Point stepped up in the second half. West Point narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past Rappahannock 28-26. Having pegged this as anyone's game, the MaxPreps state rankings were right on the nose.

Meanwhile, Colonial Beach simply couldn't be stopped, as they easily beat Mathews 53-0.

Their wins bumped Colonial Beach to 2-1 and West Point to 3-0. In their win, West Point relied heavily on junior Lawrence Porter, who rushed for 231 yards and 2 touchdowns. Colonial Beach will need to find a way to minimize his impact if they want to win.
