Basketball Recap: TPLS Christian Academy Lions vs. Shining Star Sports Academy Panthers
The TPLS Christian Academy Lions's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their tenth straight loss. They were beaten by Shining Star Sports Academy 101-55. TPLS Christian Academy has not had much luck with the Panthers recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Olivia Hilliard was a one-man wrecking crew for Shining Star Sports Academy as she went 6 for 9 from beyond the arc en route to 26 points and 4 assists. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Hilliard has scored all season. Sira Thienou was another key contributor, scoring five points along with 12 rebounds and seven assists.
TPLS Christian Academy has been struggling recently as they've lost 12 of their last 13 contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-20 record this season. As for Shining Star Sports Academy, the victory was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 17-2.
