Soccer Recap: Hoosic Valley Comes Up Short

Hoosic Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Fort Ann Cardinals. The match was a 0-0 toss-up at halftime, but Hoosic Valley couldn't quite close it out.

Their goal came courtesy of Hannah Coffin, who's now up to 14 this season.

Hoosic Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 8-7. As for Fort Ann, their win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-4.

Looking ahead, Hoosic Valley will head out to square off against Mechanicville at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hoosic Valley's defense better be ready for this one: Mechanicville have averaged an impressive 4.3 goals per game this season. As for Fort Ann, they will welcome Bolton Central at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
