After a string of three wins, Indianapolis Shortridge's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They fell 3-1 to the Mooresville Pioneers. The Blue Devils were not able to make up for their defeat to the Pioneers from their previous meeting back in April of 2024.

Indianapolis Shortridge started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The final score came out to 17-25, 26-24, 25-15, 26-24.

Among those leading the charge was Ethan Nielsen, who had ten digs and three aces. Those three aces gave him a new career-high.

Indianapolis Shortridge's loss dropped their record down to 8-3. As for Mooresville, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 5-5 record this season.

Indianapolis Shortridge wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 3-2 win against Heritage Christian on the 21st. As for Mooresville, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against Shelbyville on the 18th.
