Softball Recap: San Marin Mustangs vs. Redwood Giants
Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask San Marin). Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Redwood Giants a 10-0 shutout on Wednesday. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Mustangs considering their two-run performance the matchup before.

Taylor Testa was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She didn't allow a single earned run over five innings pitched. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with three RBI and one double. Those three RBI gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, Savannah Reynolds was excellent, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3. That's the most runs she has posted since back in March of 2024. Another player making a difference was Avery Bishop, who scored two runs while getting on base in two of her three plate appearances.

Meanwhile, Redwood will face off against rival Novato at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
