Baseball Recap: Gunnison Comes Up Short

Gunnison was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 13-3 to the Coal Ridge Titans. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Titans this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 10-2 on Saturday.

Gunnison now has a losing record of 5-6. As for Coal Ridge, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 7-2-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Gunnison will host Basalt at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Cowboys' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Longhorns have averaged an impressive 10.7 runs per game this season. As for Coal Ridge, they will be playing at home against Grand Junction Central at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
