Basketball Recap: Holy Cross Extends Home Winning Streak to Eight

There's no place like home for Holy Cross, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They secured a 67-62 W over the Waterbury Career Academy Spartans on Tuesday. This was a revenge game for the Crusaders: when they faced off against the Spartans back in January, they had to take a 72-67 defeat.

Despite the loss, Waterbury Career Academy still got an impressive performance from Jeremiah Williams, who posted 28 points. The match was Williams' fourth in a row with at least 19 points. Anthony Rodriguez was another key player, putting up 16 points.

Holy Cross pushed their record up to 15-4 with the win, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 78.8 points over those games. As for Waterbury Career Academy, their loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 16-4.
