Football Recap: Golden Gate Takes a Loss

Friday just wasn't the day for Golden Gate's offense. They were outmatched by the Naples Golden Eagles and fell 47-0. The Titans were not able to make up for their defeat to the Golden Eagles from their previous meeting back in September of 2024.

Naples got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Alijah Molina out in front who threw for 158 yards and a pair of touchdowns while completing 87.5% of his passes, and also rushed for 44 yards. What's more, Molina racked up 166.7 passer rating, the most he's had since back in November of 2024. Sam Sparacio was in the mix too, providing Naples with two scores.

This is the second loss in a row for Golden Gate and nudges their season record down to 1-3. As for Naples, their record is now 3-1-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Golden Gate will welcome Immokalee at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Naples, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Dunbar at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The match will give the Golden Eagles their first taste of in-conference action this season.
