The Southeast Pirates's four-game losing streak came to an end on Tuesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Grand Valley and snuck past 59-56. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory Southeast has posted yet this season.

Garrett Sprutte continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 40 points and 15 rebounds. That makes it 13 consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Southeast's points.

Southeast now has a winning record of 7-6. As for Grand Valley, they dropped their record down to 3-9 with that loss, which was their eighth straight on the road.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Southeast will take on Lake Center Christian at 6:45 p.m. on Friday. As for Grand Valley, they will be playing at home against Berkshire at 6:45 p.m. on Friday. Berkshire and Grand Valley are at an even 5-5 over their past ten head-to-heads.
