Basketball Recap: Anthony Pryer's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Nation Ford over Clover

Nation Ford lost against Clover back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Nation Ford Falcons lost to the Clover Blue Eagles at home by a 59-45 margin. The contest marked the Falcons 's lowest-scoring match so far this season.

Nation Ford's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Anthony Pryer, who went 7 for 13 en route to 20 points. The dominant performance gave Pryer a new career-high in points. Another player making a difference was Noah Patrick, who posted seven points and seven rebounds.

Clover's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but J'Shon Watson led the charge by going 5 of 9 on his way to 14 points and five boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Devin Agard, who went 5 for 9 en route to 10 points.

Nation Ford now has a losing record at 8-9. As for Clover, their record is now 12-7.

Nation Ford wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 46-43 win against Sugar Creek Charter on the 18th. Clover has also already played their next matchup (against Catawba Ridge), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
