Baseball Recap: Hokes Bluff Takes a Loss

Hokes Bluff and Haleyville squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but Hokes Bluff had to settle for second. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 8-2 to the Lions, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The Eagles just can't catch a break and have now endured three losses in a row.

Hokes Bluff's defeat dropped their record down to 18-15. As for Haleyville, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 22 of their last 25 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 25-9 record this season.

Hokes Bluff does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Haleyville, they will take on Madison County on Friday. The Tigers will roll in looking for their 16th straight victory, something the Lions surely won't give up without a fight.
