Basketball Recap: Bunnell Extends Home Winning Streak to Eight

Bunnell had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They strolled past the Maloney Spartans with points to spare on Tuesday, taking the game 57-42. Given the Bulldogs' advantage in MaxPreps' Connecticut basketball rankings (they are ranked 20th, while the Spartans are ranked 68th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Bunnell pushed their record up to 15-4 with the win, which was their eighth straight at home. As for Maloney, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-10 record this season.

Bunnell will challenge East Lyme at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Maloney does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
