Spring Valley waltzed into their contest  on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They were the clear victors by  a  3-0 margin over the Sumter Gamecocks. The Vikings have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Gamecocks, too.
 Spring Valley was especially dominant in the second set. The final score came out to 25-21, 25-12,  25-16.
 VictoriaIsabelle Diaz-Mitchell paced Spring Valley's offense, picking up seven kills. Diaz-Mitchell got some help from  Isabella Talde and her 17 assists.  Ava Temoney controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.
Spring Valley's victory bumped their record up to 6-7. As for Sumter, they now  have a losing record of 1-2.
 We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Spring Valley is set to  face off against  their familiar foe Blythewood  at 7:00  p.m.  on Thursday. Meanwhile, Sumter will  square off against  rival Lugoff-Elgin  at 7:00  p.m.  on Thursday.
