Football Recap: South Hills Continues Road Dominance on Wednesday + How To Watch

While South Hills put up some points on Wednesday, the same can't be said for West Covina. The Huskies took down the Bulldogs 14-0. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Huskies' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' California football rankings (they are ranked 115th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 283rd).

Ayanna Roquemore went supernova, rushing for 108 yards and one score on only ten carries.

South Hills didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Alexis Guerrero, Kassidy Hockenhull, and Audryna Lizaola picked up one apiece. Lizaola is on a roll when it comes to interceptions, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games she's played.

South Hills' win was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 9-5. Those road victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 8.8 points on average over those games. As for West Covina, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 6-5.

South Hills didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 21-7 win against Wilson on the 13th. As for West Covina, they have also already played their next game, a 7-0 victory against Culver City on the 13th.
