Recap: Meadowcreek Mustangs vs. Discovery Titans
After flying high against the Berkmar Patriots last Tuesday, the Meadowcreek Mustangs came back down to earth. Meadowcreek fell to Discovery 46-42. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Meadowcreek of the 46-28 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in January.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Discovery to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jade Jones, who scored 12 points along with seven rebounds and two steals. Jones has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times she's played. Krisheya Wilson was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on ten points and 14 rebounds.
Meadowcreek has been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-15 record this season. As for Discovery, they pushed their record up to 10-13 with that victory, which was their third straight on the road.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Meadowcreek will square off against Peachtree Ridge at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Meadowcreek is facing Peachtree Ridge at the right time seeing as Peachtree Ridge is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Discovery, they will head out on the road to take on Duluth at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Hopefully Discovery focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up ten on Friday.
