Basketball Game Preview: Taylor County Bulldogs vs. Port St. Joe Tiger Sharks

The Taylor County Bulldogs will face off against the Port St. Joe Tiger Sharks at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Taylor County fought the good fight in their overtime match against Suwannee on Thursday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell to the Bulldogs 39-35. Taylor County hasn't had much luck with Suwannee recently, as the team's come up short the last six times they've met.

Meanwhile, Port St. Joe was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 34-26 hit to the loss column at the hands of Franklin County.

Taylor County will need focus on slowing down KK McNair, one of several Port St. Joe players who made an impact when they last played. She posted ten points in addition to seven boards and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Jayla Hill, who put up eight points and four steals.

Port St. Joe's loss dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Taylor County, they now have a losing record at 4-5.

Taylor County was dealt a bruising 54-13 defeat at the hands of Port St. Joe when the teams last played back in January of 2023. Thankfully for Taylor County, Jae Lenox (who almost dropped a double-double on 17 points and nine assists) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
