Basketball Game Preview: Soldotna Stars vs. Grace Christian Grizzlies

Soldotna is 0-8 against Grace Christian since January of 2016 but things could change on Friday. The Soldotna Stars will host the Grace Christian Grizzlies at 6:00 p.m.

Soldotna is headed into Friday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fourth straight game on Saturday. They took a 63-50 hit to the loss column at the hands of Wasilla.

Meanwhile, Grace Christian faced Colony in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. Grace Christian came out on top against Colony by a score of 53-43. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Grizzlies.

Grace Christian pushed their record up to 18-2 with the victory, which was their 15th straight at home dating back to last season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.3 points over those games. As for Soldotna, their loss dropped their record down to 7-13.

Soldotna was taken down by Grace Christian 83-54 in their previous meeting back in February of 2024. Thankfully for Soldotna, Kellen Jedlicka (who almost dropped a double-double with 26 points and nine boards) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
