Addison Trail took a 24-point loss the last time they faced off against Downers Grove South, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. In a tight contest that could have gone either way, the Blazers made off with a 22-21 victory over the Mustangs. The game was the first time the Blazers have beaten the Mustangs on their field since September 16, 2016.

Addison Trail now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Downers Grove South, they are on a four-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.
