Volleyball Recap: Layton Takes a Loss

Layton lost against Farmington back in May of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Layton came up short against Farmington, falling 3-0. The Lancers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 25-21, 25-15.

Sam Pizarro Guiral paced Layton's offense, picking up six kills. Pizarro Guiral got some help from Ben Peterson and his 12 assists. Pizarro Guiral was also solid from the service line: he led the team with two aces.

Layton now has a losing record of 4-5. As for Farmington, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-3.

Layton has already played their next game, a 3-1 victory against Fremont on the 27th. As for Farmington, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-1 loss against Davis on the 27th.
