Football Game Preview: Sioux Center vs. Okoboji

On Friday Sioux Center take on Okoboji at 7:00 PM. Sioux Center are limping into the match on a three-game losing streak.

Sioux Center were the first on the board but had to settle for second at the end of their game against Spirit Lake last Friday. Sioux Center were given a punishing 13-58 loss at the hands of Spirit Lake. Sioux Center were down by 13-52 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

Meanwhile, their game two weeks ago wasn't at all kind to Okoboji, but their most recent contest may have softened the blow. They steamrollered Marcus-Meriden-Cleghorn/Remsen-Union 61-7. Okoboji were expected to win, but the margin was definitely larger than the state rankings had forecast.

Okoboji's win lifted them to 2-2 while Sioux Center's defeat dropped them down to 1-3. We'll see if Okoboji's success rolls on or if Sioux Center are able to steal their positive momentum.
