Soccer Recap: Medford Takes a Loss

Medford managed to keep up with Rhinelander until halftime on Thursday, but things quickly went downhill from there. The Raiders came up short against the Hodags, falling 5-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Medford of the 1-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2024.

This is the second loss in a row for Medford and nudges their season record down to 1-2. As for Rhinelander, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Medford will square off against rival Mosinee at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Rhinelander is set to take on their familiar foe Antigo at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
