Softball Recap: Elkhart Comes Up Short

Elkhart lost against South Bend Saint Joseph on Tuesday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Lions fell 6-3 to the Huskies. The Lions have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Ambria Leedy made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.

Elkhart's defeat dropped their record down to 7-7. As for South Bend Saint Joseph, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 5-6.

Looking ahead, Elkhart will face off against La Porte at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Lions' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Slicers have averaged an impressive 7.1 runs per game this season. As for South Bend Saint Joseph, they will challenge Portage at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Indians will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Huskies surely won't give up without a fight.
