Softball Recap: Braswell Gets the Win

On Friday, the Braswell Bengals were able to grind out a solid victory over the Lewisville Farmers, taking the game 6-2.

Braswell saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lillian Weibley, who scored a run while going 3-for-4.

Braswell was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .414. The last time their batting average was this high was back in April of 2024.

Braswell's win bumped their record up to 2-8. As for Lewisville, they dropped their record down to 3-10-1 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight at home.

Braswell and Lewisville could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings. Braswell (ranked 814th) will meet Marcus (ranked 24th) at 1:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Lewisville will face off against Flower Mound at 7:00 p.m. on Monday down 582 places (668 vs. 86).
