Softball Recap: Continental Comes Up Short

Monday just wasn't the day for Continental's offense. They fell 5-0 to the Hicksville Aces on Monday. The Pirates haven't had much luck with the Aces recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Continental's loss dropped their record down to 10-7. As for Hicksville, their victory ended a nine-game drought on the road and puts them at 9-11.

Looking ahead, Continental will head out to take on Columbus Grove at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Bulldogs have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 11.79 runs per game on average), something the Pirates will no doubt try to take advantage of. Hicksville has already played their next matchup (against Bryan), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
