Basketball Recap: Bowling Green Comes Up Short

Bowling Green played a tough game on Thursday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were outmatched by the North Callaway Thunderbirds and fell 60-21. The defeat continues a trend for the Bobcats in their matchups with the Thunderbirds: they've now lost three in a row.

Despite the loss, Bowling Green still got an impressive performance from Sydney Charlton, who posted three points and six rebounds.

North Callaway's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Lakyn Hartley, who went 7-for-9 to rack up 14 points in addition to six boards and six steals. North Callaway is 3-1 when Hartley posts five or more steals, but 10-11 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Kymorie Myers, who went 6-for-8 en route to 12 points and four steals.

Bowling Green's loss dropped their record down to 6-17. As for North Callaway, they now have a winning record of 13-12.

Coincidentally, Bowling Green and North Callaway will both be playing Mark Twain the next time they take the court. North Callaway will host Mark Twain at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, while Bowling Green will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
