Basketball Recap: Farina South Central Takes a Loss

Farina South Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 17th straight loss. They fell 53-40 to Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg. While losing is never fun, the Cougars can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 661st, while Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg are ranked 279th).

Farina South Central's defeat dropped their record down to 1-17. As for Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 11-5 record this season.

Farina South Central will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Ramsey at 6:15 p.m. on January 28th. As for Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg, they will take on Central A & M at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday.
