Football Game Preview: Banks Braves vs. Kennedy Trojans + How To Watch

The Banks Braves will take on the Kennedy Trojans at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Banks is headed into the contest after thoroughly thrashing Gervais: they outscored them in every quarter. The Braves blew past the Cougars 41-20 on Friday. The victory was just business as usual for the Braves, who after five games remain undefeated this season.

Nate Lyda had another great game (as he tends to do), rushing for 69 yards and a pair of touchdowns, while also throwing for 214 yards and two TDs. He got the majority of those rushing yards when he took off on a run that went for an incredible 89 yards. Banks' leading receiver Jarrett Martin was Lyda's top target yet again, picking up 83 receiving yards and one score, while also punching in one TD on the ground.

Wins are hard to come by when you can't run the rock, something Banks proved: they limited Gervais to a paltry 3.5 yards per carry. The team can thank Lane Gilbert for the heroic effort on defense: he. Banks didn't have any issues in that department, having averaged 5.5.

Banks' defense didn't let the opposing QB, get away unscathed either: they got into the backfield for five sacks. Gervais' QB won't forget Cole Wilson anytime soon given he sacked him twice. Wilson also set a new season-high mark in total tackles with nine.

Meanwhile, Kennedy got themselves on the board against North Marion on Friday, but North Marion never followed suit. They blew past the Huskies 50-0. The Trojans have beaten the Huskies the last three times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Huskies has come to flipping the script.

Banks' win bumped their record up to 5-0. As for Kennedy, their victory bumped their record up to 4-1.

Everything came up roses for Banks against Kennedy in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, as the squad secured a 40-7 win. Will the Braves repeat their success, or do the Trojans have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
