Rockford East won the last time they faced Harlem and things went their way on Friday too. The Rockford East E-Rabs strolled past the Harlem Huskies with points to spare, taking the game 81-66. Winning may never get old, but the E-Rabs sure are getting used to it with their sixth in a row.

Rockford East got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Marquis Goldsmith out in front who dropped a double-double on 20 points and 13 rebounds. That's the most points Goldsmith has posted since back in December of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Brian Harper, who went 5 of 10 on his way to 20 points and five steals.

Harlem lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Mateo Perera, who went 6 for 10 en route to 17 points. Perera is also on a roll when it comes to field goal percentage, as he's posted one of at least 45% in the last four games he's played. Another player making a difference was Jackson Cook, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 11 boards.

Rockford East pushed their record up to 17-11 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 72.0 points over those games. As for Harlem, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 10-17.

Coming up, Rockford East will host Jefferson at 7:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Rockford East knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past nine games -- so hopefully Jefferson likes a good challenge. As for Harlem, they will head out on the road to challenge Guilford at 7:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Guilford is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 62 points per game this season.
