Baseball Game Preview: Basic Wolves vs. Reno Huskies

The Basic Wolves will face off against the Reno Huskies at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Basic 4, Reno 3.5) so any runs scored will be well earned.

Basic is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They had just enough and edged out Faith Lutheran 9-8. Winning may never get old, but the Wolves sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

The team relied heavily on Tate Southisene, who went 3-for-4 with three runs and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Lyndon Lee, who went 1-for-4 with three RBI, one run, and one double.

Meanwhile, Reno faced Faith Lutheran in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Huskies walked away with a 7-4 victory over the Crusaders. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Huskies.

Basic's win bumped their record up to 24-7. As for Reno, their victory bumped their record up to 27-14.
