Recap: True North Knights vs. Salt and Light Homeschool Eagles
The True North Knights lost against the Salt and Light Homeschool Eagles back in December of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. True North fell 63-53 to Salt and Light Homeschool. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as True North came into the matchup with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 508th, while Salt and Light Homeschool is ranked 1391st).
Several Knights players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jaxson Moss, who scored 19 points along with 9 rebounds and 3 steals. Porter Hadley was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with 9 rebounds.
True North's defeat dropped their record down to 5-2. As for Salt and Light Homeschool, they pushed their record up to 2-5 with that win, which was their fifth straight on the road.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. True North will challenge Harmony School of Innovation at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Salt and Light Homeschool is on the road again on Tuesday and play against Kinkaid at 12:00 p.m. on December 12th. Kinkaid is coming into the contest on a six-game losing streak.
