Cypress Ranch and Waxahachie squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but Cypress Ranch had to settle for second. They fell 38-31 to the Indians. The Mustangs' defeat signaled the end of their nine-game winning streak.

Despite the loss, Cypress Ranch still got an impressive performance from Peyton Thomas, who rushed for 196 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 9.8 yards per carry. Thomas really tore up the turf during one magnificent 74-yard run. The team also got some help courtesy of Braden Baker, who threw for 107 yards and a pair of TDs.
