Basketball Recap: Zarriyah Carter's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Tarrant over Carver Birmingham

Tarrant lost against Carver Birmingham back in November, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The matchup between the Tarrant Wildcats and the Carver Birmingham Rams didn't end well, with the Tarrant Wildcats falling 52-37. The Wildcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Tarrant lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Zarriyah Carter, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 13 boards. Carter has been hot, having posted 11 or more boards the last seven times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Deandria Woodgett, who posted nine points and three steals.

Tarrant's defeat dropped their record down to 4-9. As for Carver Birmingham, their win ended a three-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 3-4.

Tarrant didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 40-37 victory against Altamont on the 11th. As for Carver Birmingham, they will head out to face off against Fultondale at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
