Volleyball Recap: Freedom Takes Down Zephyrhills in a Playoff Battle

With a playoff win on the line, Freedom rose to the challenge on Tuesday. They didn't even let the Zephyrhills Bulldogs on the board, marking their second-straight 3-0 shutout. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Patriots also won the last time the pair played back in October of 2024.

Freedom got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Liahn Franco out in front who had nine digs and two aces. That's the most digs Franco has posted since back in September.

Franco wasn't the only good servers: Freedom was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 13 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in 22 consecutive matches dating back to last season.

Freedom has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-3 record this season. As for Zephyrhills, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-18.

As of now, neither Freedom nor the Bulldogs have any future games scheduled.
