Basketball Recap: Dominic Vanacker's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Farragut over Maryville

Farragut lost against Maryville back in November of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Farragut Admirals fell 60-51 to the Maryville Red Rebels.

Several Admirals players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Dominic Vanacker, who went 6 of 15 en route to 21 points. Another player making a difference was Daniel Lanning, who went 5 for 9 on his way to 16 points and five boards.

Farragut has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 14-8 record this season. As for Maryville, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 11 games, which provided a nice bump to their 15-8 record this season.

Farragut is taking a road trip to challenge William Blount at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Maryville, they will challenge Hardin Valley Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
