Baseball Recap: Round Rock Westwood Comes Up Short

Round Rock Westwood was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost a 6-4 heartbreaker at the hands of the Salado Eagles. That's two games in a row now that the Warriors have lost by exactly two runs.

Round Rock Westwood saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Rc Cowes, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI. Those RBI marked the first that Cowes brought in this season.

Round Rock Westwood's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Salado, their victory bumped their record up to 3-5-1.

Round Rock Westwood wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 9-0 loss against Hargrave on the 7th. As for Salado, they will face off against Tuloso-Midway at 11:15 a.m. on Saturday.
