Basketball Recap: Cedar Park Comes Up Short

Cedar Park lost against Liberty Hill back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Cedar Park Timberwolves took a 53-40 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Liberty Hill Panthers. While losing is never fun, the Timberwolves can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 544th, while the Panthers are ranked 85th).

Cedar Park has been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 12-18 record this season. As for Liberty Hill, the win (which was their 14th in a row) raised their record to 27-5.

Cedar Park has already played their next match (against Hays), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Liberty Hill Panthers challenge the Leander Lions at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
