Middleburgh's defeat dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Mayfield, their loss dropped their record down to 4-4.

Middleburgh got the 'W' in their previous meeting back in April of 2025 against Mayfield by a conclusive 14-2 score. Will the Knights repeat their success, or do the Panthers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
