Andover is 7-1 against Lawrence since November of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Golden Warriors will host the Lancers at 7:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Andover is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Massachusetts' top teams: Methuen, who was ranked 11th at the time (Andover was ranked 14th). The Golden Warriors took a 35-29 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Rangers on Friday. The loss was the Golden Warriors' first of the season.

Kyle Olson put forth a good effort for the losing side as he threw for 197 yards and three touchdowns, and also rushed for 51 yards. Marcus Dejesus was in the mix too, providing Andover with two scores.

Meanwhile, Lawrence was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost to Haverhill at home by a 22-8 margin.

Having lost for the first time this season, Andover fell to 3-1. As for Lawrence, their loss dropped their record down to 1-3.

Everything came up roses for Andover against Lawrence in their previous meeting back in September of 2022, as the team secured a 43-0 win. Do the Golden Warriors have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Lancers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
