Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Maquoketa). They blew past the Monticello Panthers 14-2 on Monday. The win was some much needed relief for the Cardinals as it spelled an end to their seven-game losing streak.

Maquoketa's victory was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 5-22-1. As for Monticello, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-11 record this season.
