Volleyball Game Preview: Gray's Creek Bears vs. Pine Forest Trojans

Gray's Creek is a perfect 10-0 against Pine Forest since September of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. The Bears will hit the road for the first time this season to face off against the Trojans at 6:00 p.m. Pine Forest took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Gray's Creek, who comes in off a win.

Gray's Creek is headed out to face Pine Forest after opening their season at home and giving their fans just what they were looking for. The Bears walked away with a 3-1 victory over Topsail on Tuesday.

The win didn't come easy: Topsail scored at least 19 points in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 22-25, 25-21, 25-22.

Meanwhile, Pine Forest didn't have quite enough to beat Triton on Tuesday and fell 3-2.

While Pine Forest ultimately came up short, they really made Triton work, particularly in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 28-26, 25-27, 23-25, 25-14, 15-7.

Everything went Gray's Creek's way against Pine Forest in their previous meeting back in August of 2023, as Gray's Creek made off with a 3-0 victory. Will the Bears repeat their success, or do the Trojans have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
