Baseball Recap: Bolles Makes It Six in a Row at Home

Bolles gave up the first runs on Thursday, but they didn't let that get them down. They came out on top against the IMG Academy Gold Ascenders by a score of 6-3. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Bulldogs.

Bolles got a great performance from Jaxson Richter as he tossed five innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off seven hits.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Jackson Geist, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 3-for-4. Another player making a difference was Will Arndt, who scored a run while going 2-for-2.

Bolles pushed their record up to 10-3 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.7 runs on average over those games. As for IMG Academy Gold, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-5.

Looking ahead, Bolles will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Mandarin at 6:30 p.m. As for IMG Academy Gold, they will venture away from home to square off against Southwest Florida Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
