Basketball Game Preview: Itawamba Agricultural Indians vs. Raymond Rangers

The Itawamba Agricultural Indians will square off against the Raymond Rangers at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Itawamba Agricultural knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past ten contests -- so hopefully Raymond likes a good challenge.

Itawamba Agricultural is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Thursday. They snuck past Leake Central with a 62-57 win.

Meanwhile, Raymond had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 17.3 points) and they went ahead and made it five on Thursday. They came out on top against the Aggies by a score of 38-30.

Itawamba Agricultural is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-8 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.5 points over those games. Raymond's victory bumped their record up to 24-8.

Itawamba Agricultural ended up a good deal behind Raymond in their previous meeting back in March of 2021, losing 55-37. Can Itawamba Agricultural avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
