Basketball Game Preview: Sam Rayburn Rebels vs. Whitewright Tigers

The Sam Rayburn Rebels will take on the Whitewright Tigers at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Last Friday, everything went Sam Rayburn's way against Wolfe City as Sam Rayburn made off with a 52-29 victory. Given the Rebels' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 439th, while the Wolves are ranked 1582nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Whitewright came tearing into Friday's contest with five straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 20 points) and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against the Warriors by a score of 56-46.

Whitewright has also been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 23-3 record this season. As for Sam Rayburn, they pushed their record up to 20-4 with the win, which was their ninth straight on the road.
