Softball Game Preview: Mingus Marauders vs. Prescott Badgers

For the second straight game, Mingus will face off against Prescott. The Marauders will be playing at home against the Badgers at 3:45 p.m. on Wednesday.

Mingus hadn't beaten Prescott on the road since March 8, 2022 but that history sure didn't bother them on Monday. The Marauders walked away with a 13-9 victory over the Badgers. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Marauders.

Rory Murphy spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and eight unearned) runs on six hits and racked up six Ks.

At the plate, Mingus got a massive performance out of Julia Meyer, who got on base in four of her five plate appearances with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. That's the most runs Meyer has posted since back in April of 2024. Maddison Lusebrink was another key player, going 2-for-5 with three runs, two doubles, and one RBI.

Mingus' win bumped their record up to 6-11. As for Prescott, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-13.
