Basketball Game Preview: Dighton Hornets vs. St. Francis Indians

Dighton and St. Francis are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2018, but not for long. The Dighton Hornets will welcome the St. Francis Indians on Friday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Dighton has four straight wins, St. Francis has eight straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the court.

On Tuesday, Dighton was fully in charge, breezing past Wheatland-Grinnell 76-26. The Hornets have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four games by 30 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, St. Francis' game on Friday was all tied up 25-25 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They fell 58-49 to Idalia.

St. Francis' loss dropped their record down to 1-9. As for Dighton, their victory bumped their record up to 6-3.

Everything came up roses for Dighton against St. Francis in their previous matchup back in January of 2024, as the team secured a 76-28 win. Will Dighton repeat their success, or does St. Francis have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
