Volleyball Game Preview: St. Henry Redskins vs. Columbus Grove Bulldogs

The St. Henry Redskins will challenge the Columbus Grove Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

Columbus Grove will be up against a hot St. Henry team: the squad just extended their winning streak to three. The Redskins were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over Marion Local on Tuesday.

Olivia Gast was the offensive standout of the match as she had 11 digs.

Meanwhile, Columbus Grove got the win against Lima Central Catholic on Tuesday by a conclusive 3-0. The win continues a trend for the Bulldogs in their matchups with the Thunderbirds: they've now won four in a row.

Columbus Grove was especially dominant in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 25-10, 25-19, 25-20.

Columbus Grove now has a winning record of 12-11. As for St. Henry, their victory bumped their record up to 19-5.

St. Henry was able to grind out a solid win over Columbus Grove in their previous meeting back in October of 2016, winning 3-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Redskins since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
