Softball Recap: Westview Comes Up Short

Westview fell victim to Del Norte and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They took a 4-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Nighthawks. The defeat continues a trend for the Wolverines in their meetings with the Nighthawks: they've now lost three in a row.

Westview got a good showing from Kaya Rodriguez, who tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit.

On the hitting side, Westview saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Reese Marier, who went 1-for-3 with one double.

Westview's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Del Norte, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Coming up, Westview will be taking part in a tournament against Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Del Norte, they will take on Eastlake in a tournament on Thursday.
